Haryana Election 2024 Bhupinder Singh Hooda Congress AAP Arvind Kejriwal Seat Sharing | Haryana Election 2024: Congress-Aam Aadmi Party alliance could not happen due to Bhupinder Singh Hooda? Made it clear

Haryana Election 2024: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP from Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh (UP) Rahul Gandhi wanted that Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) should fight the assembly elections in Haryana together. However, his dream remained unfulfilled. One of the major reasons behind Congress’s alliance with Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP was former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda.

There was a lot of discussion in the political circles that he became the villain and because of him Congress and AAP could not come together in the state. When Bhupendra Singh Hooda was asked about this on Thursday (September 19, 2024), he answered this question bluntly. In an interview given to the Hindi newspaper ‘Dainik Bhaskar’, he told that they were ready for the alliance but AAP was adamant on the conditions.

“Get AAP to say it…”, said the former Haryana CM

When asked whether the alliance with Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party in Haryana could not be formed because of you? The former CM replied bluntly, “Who has accused us of not allowing the alliance to happen? Ask you to say this. Our alliance is at the national level rather than the state level.”

Bhupendra Singh Hooda said- How will AAP be able to do as it pleases?

Referring to the last election, 77-year-old Bhupendra Singh Hooda further said, “Aam Aadmi Party was in the electoral fray in 2019 as well but it did not even save a single deposit. We were ready to form an alliance but they had their demands. This was the reason why the alliance could not happen. How will they be able to do as they please?”
