Haryana Election Result Congress On Backfoot As INDIA Alliance Partner Arvind Kejriwal Uddhav Thackeray Taunt On Old Party

Haryana Election Results 2024: The results of Haryana Assembly Elections 2024 once again disappointed the Congress. After the exit poll results, the country’s oldest party which was hopeful of victory got a shock. In such a situation, Congress’s allies in the INDIA alliance have also started turning a blind eye.

Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT), Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party and Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress have criticized the Congress. These parties have cited overconfidence, arrogance and authoritarianism as the main reasons for the defeat of Congress. Whereas in Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav led Samajwadi Party gave a big blow to Congress and announced the by-election candidates.

Know who said what and what did?

Samajwadi Party has announced the candidates for the by-elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh. Although the party has declared candidates on 6 out of 10 seats, these include 2 seats on which Congress wanted to field its candidates. Congress had demanded from SP that it has to field its candidates on those two seats where BJP had won. Rejecting this demand of Congress, SP fielded its candidates on Phulpur and Majhwan seats.

At the same time, an editorial in Uddhav Sena mouthpiece Saamana has warned Congress leaders of poll-bound Maharashtra to learn from the Congress’s defeat in Haryana, which was caused by “overconfidence and arrogance of the state leadership”. It said, “The same thing happened in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Internal issues within the party dominated, due to which the party lost in both the states.”

“The Congress kept away the Aam Aadmi Party and other allies in Haryana and decided to contest the elections alone. It won in Jammu and Kashmir because it had formed an alliance with the NC,” Saamna said.

Reacting to Congress’s demoralizing defeat in Haryana, Trinamool Congress MP Saket Gokhale said, “Arrogance, entitlement and looking down on regional parties is the cause of destruction.” He tweeted, “This attitude leads to electoral defeat. If we feel we are winning, we will not give space to any regional party. But in the states where we are lagging, regional parties should give us space.” .”

Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has also raised questions on the election strategy of Congress and said that the biggest lesson learned from the results of the assembly elections is that one should never be overconfident. Lok Sabha elections AAP and Congress were together.
