Due to the rain late on Friday, the power crisis deepened from the city to the countryside. Electricity was supplied in the city at around 12 o’clock in the night. Whereas in the countryside there was a complete blackout of electricity all night. Due to this people had to face difficulties. People heaved a sigh of relief after the electricity came in the morning.
It is notable that the power lines from the city to the countryside are in a dilapidated condition. In the slightest rain, the power system responds. Consumers have to bear the brunt of this. It rained late Friday night with strong winds. Due to the rains, lines of feeders coming out from the substations of Navipur, Gijrauli, Kanshiram Township, Odhpura etc. in the city got faulted. Due to this, there was no electricity till late night in the entire city.
At the same time, break down occurred in the lines of feeders coming out of substations like Chandpa, Mursan, Sasni, Sikandararau, Hasayan, Nagla Rati etc. in the countryside. Due to this there was a power cut in the rural areas throughout the night. People could not sleep peacefully without electricity. When I woke up in the morning, I was shocked to see the power failure. People heaved a sigh of relief when the power came on after the break down was rectified in the morning.
In thunderstorms, the power system responds. Now in the coming days, thunderstorms will increase further. That’s why the department should make adequate arrangements. So that there is uninterrupted power supply to the common man. Mohit Khandelwal, Consumer
