On Wednesday evening, a truck hit an electric pole on Navipur Road in Hathras city. In many areas, there was a power crisis from 9 pm on Wednesday to 12 noon on Thursday. The pole and line were also damaged due to the collision of the truck. The electricity department has suffered a loss of thousands of rupees. People heaved a sigh of relief after electricity came in the afternoon.
The truck hit the pole of the LT line on the city’s Navipur road at around 9 pm on Wednesday. Due to this, there was a power failure in many areas including Navipur Kalan, Bauhre ji compound of the city. Along with this, the traffic was also disrupted due to falling on the road between the pillars. People could not sleep peacefully whole night without electricity. The inverters installed in the houses also stopped. When people woke up from their sleep in the morning, there was panic after seeing the power failure. People had to wander even for drinking water. The repair work of the lines went on till noon. Then at 12 noon the power supply was restored.
Due to damage to the pole, power supply has been interrupted in many areas including Bouhra ji’s compound. The supply has been restored by correcting the pole. – Bhoop Singh, Junior Engineer
