Three youths carried out the incident of gang rape of a woman in a village of Kotwali Chandpa area in Hathras. The youth also threatened to make a video of the woman and broadcast it. On the basis of the woman’s complaint, the police registered a case and arrested one of the accused. The police is looking for the absconding accused.
A woman from a village in Kotwali Chandpa area alleges that when she was sleeping in her house on the night of June 5. Then Azim, a young man from the village came to his house with two of his companions and the three youths forcibly picked up the woman and took her to the millet field. There the three together gang-raped the woman. Also made a video of the incident. Threatening the woman, she was asked not to tell anyone about the incident, otherwise the woman was threatened to circulate the video on social platforms. The woman somehow managed to save herself and reached her home.
Once again, the three youths were calling the woman for doing wrong by citing the airing of the video. This time the woman got upset and informed her family members about the whole incident. Along with giving information about the whole sequence of events to the police. The woman has accused Azim of the village in Tahrir, along with Anuj of the nearby village Nagla Khirni and an unknown youth of gang-rape. Kotwali in-charge Ritesh Kumar says that the case has been registered on the basis of Tahrir. One accused has been arrested. The remaining two accused who are absconding are being searched.
