After Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took charge of the Hathras incident, the UP police has started taking swift action. On Thursday, the police arrested six accused, including four men and two women associated with the satsang organizing committee.

According to a senior UP police officer, the arrested accused include Ram Ladate Yadav (Mainpuri), Manju Yadav (Hathras), Upendra Singh Yadav (Firozabad), Manju Devi Yadav (Hathras), Megh Singh (Hathras) and Mukesh Kumar (Hathras). All of them are sevadars. At the same time, the police has announced a reward of one lakh rupees for the arrest of the main organizer Dev Prakash Madhukar. The arrested accused have made many big revelations during interrogation.

They left the devotees uncontrolled to take the dust of Bhole Baba’s feet, after which a stampede occurred. Seeing the situation worsening, these sevadars ran away. It is known that in this incident that happened on Monday, a total of 121 devotees from Uttar Pradesh as well as Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana died, most of whom were women.

Their main work is to gather crowd and collect donations in the satsang committee. Apart from this, they also make arrangements for crowd control by barricading, arrangement of pandal to protect devotees from sun and heat, parking of vehicles, pavement at the event venue, arrangement of generator for power supply, cleaning etc. These people have been given different types of uniforms for organizing the program. For crowd control and security, women and men are also given black commando dress and pink dress for uniformity, so that they can control the crowd according to their wish.

During interrogation, it was also revealed that the followers of Baba have a lot of beliefs about Baba. Many problems are solved by Baba’s feet dust. The arrested accused have told that we run ahead and behind Baba’s convoy to take it out from the crowd. That day also, when the crowd came near the car for Baba’s feet dust, the sevadars stopped the crowd and as soon as the convoy moved ahead, the sevadars left the crowd uncontrolled to take the feet dust, due to which women and children started falling on each other and chaos ensued. Seeing this, the sevadars quickly left from there. During investigation, it has also come to light that these people used to stop the police administration from taking photos and videos of the event and used to misbehave with them. The police is also investigating whether any criminal conspiracy has been hatched by any of these sevadars.
