About 7 years ago, after increasing crime and a murder in the Nai Bazaar area, a police post was established in a rented building one kilometer before the market. Then people were hopeful that the incidents of crime would reduce in their area. However, despite all efforts, the post is not being operated regularly. There is a rumor behind this. According to the local people, once the rumors about ghosts spread, no policeman is ready to live here.

For this reason, the lock remains hanging during the day and there is darkness at night. Some outpost in-charge tried to operate the outpost, but they could not succeed. Along with this, 5 to 6 policemen are also deployed here along with an SI. Due to non-stay of policemen at the outpost, if any incident occurs in the area, it takes a lot of time to reach the spot.

Here during the day the policemen somehow manage to spend their time at a shop in the market or under the shade of a tree, but at night there is a problem. Most of the time, the only option left for the people of this area to complain about any kind of problem is to come to Robertsganj police station, 12 to 15 kilometers away. After the rumor, when the policemen stopped living here in the post built in a rented house in Nai Bazar, land was searched for the post at a new place in the year 2022. Proposals for its construction were sent to higher officials, however, no implementation has been done till now.
Lack of basic facilities in the post
The owner of the building where the police post is located in Nai Bazar does not live there. There is neither water nor electricity in the post. In this regard, senior journalist Rajesh Goswami told in a special conversation with Local 18 that it has become a matter of curiosity for the people that while on one hand the intellectual class calls the talk of ghosts baseless, on the other hand a department like the police is also not convinced of this. Is scared. This is a topic of discussion in itself. He says that after completing the departmental process, either a new outpost building should be constructed here as soon as possible or a better option should be found so that the general public can benefit from it. Due to this, they do not have to go to the police station normally to lodge a complaint. There is a crowd in the police station, if this post is started here properly, then people will get a lot of convenience.
