It is said that if someone who came to Khurja did not eat khurchan, he did not eat anything. Khurja’s Khurchan is different among sweets in many ways. Scraper seller Gaurav Aggarwal told that his great grandfather had started the work of scraper and now the fourth generation is doing the work of selling scraper. The same scraper is being made here even today. Khurchan worth about Rs 15 to 20 lakh is sold daily in the entire Khurja. Whereas relatives of many people living in Khurja living abroad have also asked for scrap. Now orders are being received for scraping in Khurja for offering food to Ramlala in Ayodhya.

According to Gaurav Aggarwal, it has many shops in Khurja. You can easily get scraper in any market. This scraper is prepared from pure cream of milk. Milk cream is prepared in layers by preparing and drying it. Now Khurja will be sacrificed for the life of Ramlala.
This is how khurchan is prepared
The artisan making the scraper told that 100 to 150 kg milk is heated in the pan until the milk turns into cream. This process does not stop until the scraper is ready as per the demand. Due to this specialty of Khurchan, Khurja attracts people from far and wide. Every day 5 to 6 thousand kg of scrap made from coal furnace in Khurja is supplied to Hapur, Aligarh, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Noida, Haryana, Agra and Meerut. If we talk about the sale of scrap metal in the entire Khurja, then about Rs 15 to 20 lakhs are sold every day.
