Kailash Kumar/Bokaro. Is brinjal good or bad for our health? These days, this question remains with curiosity in everyone’s mind, hence Local 18 had a special conversation with Dr. Rajesh Pathak, a senior Ayurvedic doctor from Bokaro, about the health benefits and harmful effects of brinjal.
Dr. Pathak told that generally people have the belief that brinjal vegetable is bad i.e. it has no qualities. But actually, many nutrients are found inside brinjal which is very beneficial for our body and it is a rich source of iron, calcium and vitamin C.

Helpful in controlling diabetes: There are some special elements present in brinjal which are helpful in reducing the sugar level and make the body energetic.
Helpful in weight control: Brinjal is rich in fiber, which helps in reducing weight because its consumption reduces appetite and eating small amounts of food keeps the weight under control.
They should not eat brinjal
People suffering from digestive and gas problems should avoid eating brinjal because brinjal is hot in nature and in such a situation, consumption of brinjal can increase the problem of stomach ache.
Women should not consume brinjal during periods: Women should avoid eating brinjal during periods because due to the hot nature of brinjal, bleeding is more likely.
Do not consume brinjal if you are suffering from skin diseases: People suffering from skin diseases should avoid consuming brinjal because the elements present in brinjal can affect the skin infection present in the body and promote problems like allergy and itching.
