The Health Department has cancelled the license of Yashwant Hospital located in New Agra Police Station area in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. This action was taken on the basis of the report of the committee constituted by the Divisional Commissioner. The ADA has already given notice to vacate the hospital.
On the complaint of Sajan Agarwal, a resident of New Agra, ADA inspected the hospital. It revealed the construction of the ground, first, second and fourth floors without getting the map approved and illegal operation of the hospital. Orders were given to seal the building.
After this, Divisional Commissioner Ritu Maheshwari constituted a special investigation committee of Additional District Magistrate Protocol and Additional Commissioner Administration to investigate the matter. The committee found the complaints to be true in its report. On this, the Health Department cancelled the license of the hospital.
Admission of new patients in the hospital has been banned. Instructions have been given to shift the admitted patients to another place within three days. CMO Dr. Arun Srivastava said that if the patients are not shifted within three days, a team will be sent and action will be taken. A notice has also been given to the hospital operator in this regard.
