Health Secretary Wrote A Letter To The Ministry Of Civil Aviation On Increasing Coronavirus India Gave Guidelines


Coronavirus India: Keeping in mind the cases of corona in the country, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has written a letter to the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation. In this letter, random testing and some guidelines have been given to the ministry. It is written in the letter that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is keeping a close watch on the growing situation of Kovid and has also given guidelines to the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

The Health Secretary has issued guidelines to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, saying that the Ministry has to ensure that random samples of 2 percent of the total passengers in a flight go for the investigation of Kovid. The airline will identify such passengers who are being allowed to leave the airport after sampling. Samples with positive sample testing will be sent for genome sequencing. However, in the guidelines given, the earlier guidelines have been revised. The new ones are as follows-

  • Random testing should be done on the arrival of 2 percent sub sections of the total passengers in a flight.
  • The airline will identify the passengers, even if they are from different countries.
  • After the passengers are tested, they will submit their samples. They will be allowed to leave the airport.
  • Reports of positive incoming travelers with Integrated Disease Surveillance Program shoc.idsp@ncdc.gov.in Will be shared on. So that it can be shared with the concerned state or region for further action.
  • If a passenger tests positive, their samples should be sent for genomic testing to the INSACOG laboratory network.
  • This system will come into force on Saturday, December 24, 2022 from 10 am.
