What is HPV
The full name of HPV is Human Papilloma Virus. There are more than 100 variants of this virus in the world. Most of the variants are not dangerous. They do not cause any harm. They can only cause warts on hands, feet or face. But about 14 strains of this virus cause cancer.
This puts men and women at risk of genital, lip, tongue and throat cancer. The most dangerous thing about this virus is that it stays in the body but it is not known that it is a cancer causing virus. When such people have sexual relations with someone, the risk of the other person getting infected can be very high.
