Diseases Caused By Pigeon : Do you know that pigeons, a symbol of peace and simplicity, are dangerous for human health. Due to these, many diseases can spread. If not, then be careful. Actually, this beautiful looking bird can cause serious harm to health.
Keeping this in view, a few months ago the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) was planning to ban feeding pigeons. The reason for this was said to be the continuously increasing number of pigeons and diseases. There is already a ban on this in some areas of Mumbai. In such a situation, let us know what diseases can be caused by pigeons.
1. Can damage the lungs
According to health experts, pigeon droppings can not only pollute roofs and balconies but also damage the lungs. Due to this, there is a risk of hyper-sensitivity pneumonitis. Actually, avian antigens are present in pigeon droppings, which are dangerous. These reach the nose through the air and reach the lungs through breath and start damaging the lung tissue. This is the reason why the lungs of those who feed pigeons can get damaged quickly. Their ability to breathe decreases and there is a lack of oxygen in the body.
2. Danger for asthma patients
Asthma sufferers are advised to stay away from pigeons. According to health experts, pigeons can also cause asthma. In such a situation, people whose lungs are already weak can become more vulnerable to the infections caused by them. People with weak immune systems should also be careful. Children and elderly people should be kept away from pigeons.
3. Fungal infection may occur
There is also a risk of fungal infection (Candidiasis) from pigeon droppings or feathers. This may be due to the growth of Candida yeast. Due to this, there is swelling in the mouth, white patches, loss of taste for food and redness in both the corners of the mouth. Due to this, the skin color may fade or it may start turning red and there may also be pain in the skin. Due to this disease, there can be problems in private parts also. There can be problems in this area like itching, burning sensation and excessive discharge in women. Nails can also get damaged due to Candida yeast.
4. Headache and fever
Health experts say that E-coli can reach our body through pigeons. If pigeon droppings fall into water, vegetables, fruits or fields and somehow reach inside the body without being cleaned, then E-coli bacteria enters the body, due to which problems like unconsciousness, nausea, headache or fever occur. Can happen.
Pigeon droppings can harm the nervous system. There is also a risk of psittacosis from pigeon droppings, also known as parrot fever, which is spread by a bacteria called Chlamydia psittaci. Flu like symptoms are seen in this. Fever, fatigue and muscle pain may occur.
