There are signs of good rain in various parts of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. Light to moderate rain occurred in various parts of UP on Friday. The Meteorological Department has predicted good rain in the southern and central areas for the next two days. On Saturday, a heavy rain alert has been issued for more than 20 districts including southern, Bundelkhand and western areas of UP.
According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, due to the low pressure area formed over Bengal and Jharkhand moving towards UP, there are chances of heavy rains in the southern and central UP areas on Saturday. There are signs of good rains in various parts of UP including southern parts Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli on Saturday. Most of the places in the state will receive light to moderate rains intermittently for the next three-four days.
On Friday, 46.2 mm of rain was recorded in Varanasi, 28.6 mm in Lucknow, 24 mm in Basti, 19.6 mm in Jhansi, 18.6 mm in Churuk, 5 mm in Ballia and Orai. Talking about the maximum temperature, Meerut had the highest temperature of 36.1 degree Celsius in the state on Friday. Agra recorded 35.5 degrees and Etawah and Prayagraj recorded 35.2 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain on Saturday in Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Shravasti, Bahraich, Jaunpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur, Rae Bareli, Mathura, Agra, Firozabad, Pilibhit, Saharanpur, Shamli, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur and surrounding areas.
