Lost many shows due to not doing intimate scenes

Yes, we are talking about TV actress Shruti Sharma, who has been playing a popular character on TV since the year 2018. The actress started her career with the show ‘Gathbandhan’, in which she played the role of an IPS officer. She got this role after ‘India’s Next Superstars’, where she finished third. After this character, Shruti Sharma’s 2019 Telugu release Agent came with her first film with Sai Srinivas Athreya and her first Bollywood film ‘Pagglait’.

However, over the years, Shruti had to lose many roles. In a recent interview to the Times of India, Shruti said that she does not like to do intimate scenes or kiss on screen. She said, ‘I will never do intimate scenes on screen. I will not be able to do this on screen. I have left many projects because I felt there was no need to be intimate in that show.’ However, the actress says that she does not regret her choice.

Shruti Sharma’s OTT debut

Earlier this year, Shruti made her debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series ‘Heeramandi’. Shruti played the role of a maid named Shama in ‘Heeramandi’. Her acting in the show was highly praised. Many people asked her to be cast in a bigger role in the second season. Many even said that she was better than lead actress Sharmin Segal, who played the role of Alamzeb. Let us tell you that Sharmin had to face trolling for her acting in the series.

In ‘Heeramandi’ too, Shruti’s character had her first on-screen kiss. The actress told TOI, ‘After reading the entire script of Heeramandi, I was crying because it had my kissing scenes’, but finally after knowing that I was not comfortable with it, Bhansali ji removed those scenes. Shruti has now given a hint of returning to TV and said that she has received some offers.
