Here women become mothers even before marriage, you would hardly know about this tradition!

In big cities like Delhi and Mumbai, it has become common for young men and women to live in the same house before marriage. This is called live-in relationship. However, in small towns it is still considered wrong and many youth have to hide it in their homes. There is controversy in villages after hearing about this tradition. There is a place in India where live-in relationships are normal and parents allow their children to do so. We are talking about the Garasia tribe living in Rajasthan and Gujarat. In this tribe, men and women live together without marriage and women also become mothers before marriage. Women have the right to choose the boy of their choice, due to which this tribe is considered progressive.

Two day fair organized for weddings
A two-day fair is organized here for weddings. In this fair, boys and girls gather and if they like someone, they run away from the fair with that person. Then they start living together without getting married. During this time they can also have a child. After this, they return to their village and their parents marry them with pomp and show.

Historical significance of the practice of live-in
The practice of live-in living in this tribe is centuries old. It is believed that earlier four brothers of this caste had left the village and started living somewhere else. Three of them got married as per Indian customs, but one brother started living with a girl without marriage. Those three brothers did not have children, but the fourth brother had a child. Since then the tradition of live-in living started here.

women got freedom
According to reports, if Garasia women wish, they can choose another partner in the second fair, despite the first partner. In this way they get freedom, which is not available even in modern society. This is the reason why this tribe is famous all over the world, and even urban women do not get such freedom. There are many other tribes in India who have similar traditions.
