Statue of Christ the Redeemer on the eye of a needle
The original statue of Christ the Redeemer is 30 meters (98 ft) high. Such a tall statue has been created by sculptor Ajay Kumar on the eye of a needle whose length is only 1.1 mm. It is designed inside the eye of a needle. Despite its small size, the small details are visible in the sculpture. In this statue built on a small space, the structure of Christ’s fingers, the folds of clothes and skin can be seen. This is no less than a surprise in itself. Making a 98 feet high statue in just 1.1 mm is an amazing art.

How was this 1.1 mm statue made?
Speaking to Local 18, Ajay Kumar told that he has used self-prepared wax, plastic powder and caterpillar hair for coloring. For fine detail he used delicate instruments made of silkworm hair, which bend only when breathing. It took him almost two months to create this masterpiece and it can only be seen under a microscope.

Have made micro idols before too
He further informed that in 2017 he had made a microscopic golden cross of Jesus, which was 0.95 mm in height and 0.17 mm in width. In May 2024, he participated in the prestigious World Art Dubai Exhibition, where his micro sculptures were appreciated by visitors and artists from 65 countries. This time too he has done wonders and has presented a wonderful example of his art.
