Himachal Pradesh Politics: There are by-elections in three assembly constituencies of Himachal Pradesh. Voting is to be held on July 10 in Dehra, Nalagarh and Hamirpur. The noise of campaigning for the by-elections stopped today. Kamlesh Thakur, wife of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, is contesting the election in Dehra assembly constituency. Here she is pitted against Hoshiar Singh of the BJP. Hoshiar Singh is contesting the election in Dehra by giving the slogan of Dharti Putra.
The Chief Minister’s wife is also calling herself the daughter of Dehra. This seat has become a hot one because the Chief Minister’s wife is contesting elections here. The BJP called the Chief Minister’s wife an outsider. It also asked where will the public find their MLA. Kamlesh Thakur retorted to this.
‘My address- Kamlesh Thakur wife of Chief Minister’
Kamlesh Thakur said- ‘I and the Chief Minister have no business. We have not even gone to Canada or Mumbai. My address is Kamlesh Thakur, wife of the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh. Dehra is my home, everything happened here. The Chief Minister’s office will open in Dehra, government staff will sit like in Naidun. People will not have to face trouble to get their work done.
The former independent MLA spent government money in the construction of his resort and even got the electricity poles meant for the people installed at his place. If I work, I will get A-1 certificate and if I don’t, I will get a dash-dash. So I promise you that the face of Dehra will be changed. The backwardness in development will end after July 15.
Hoshiar Singh lied to the public- Kamlesh Thakur
Kamlesh Thakur said that former independent MLA Hoshiar Singh has been lying to the people of Dehra for the last six and a half years. The former MLA had promised the people that he will distribute his salary as MLA among the people, but he did not give a single penny to the people. His promise was only to deceive the people of Dehra and get their votes. The former MLA has made many more false promises to the people. He used to stay in Mumbai and Canada after collecting votes.
