HP Election Results: It is common to become a rebel in politics. Especially in those small states, where the number of assembly seats is less. The people of Himachal Pradesh elect a new government for themselves every time. For the last 5 years, Himachal is ruled by the BJP. So, when the tickets were being distributed, the BJP canceled the tickets of 11 sitting MLAs. The only reason was that somehow BJP wanted to come back to power. However, the Congress was also not beyond angry and rebel leaders. Both the parties had to face rebel leaders. In this news, we are telling about 5 rebel leaders, who are influential in the politics of Himachal, but this time they are contesting as independents after not getting tickets.
Indu Verma, Seat-Theog
Indu has been active in Himachal politics for the last two decades. She is the wife of three-time MLA Rakesh Verma, who died due to heart attack. In July itself, Indu left BJP and joined Congress. Indu was hopeful that the Congress would field her from Theog, but she did not get the ticket at the last moment. That’s why in this election she is contesting from Theog seat as an independent candidate. Congress has given ticket to Vijay Pal Khachi, son of former Congress leader JBL Khachi, from this seat. No update on this seat was visible on the website of the Election Commission till 10 am.
Kirpal Singh Parmar, Seat-Fatehpur

Kirpal Singh has been an old BJP worker. First he got a big responsibility in the district and then in the state. BJP also sent him to Rajya Sabha and also made him Vice President in Himachal. But he did not get the ticket in the bypoll election at Fatehpur. After this, he raised questions on the leadership of the state. BJP gave ticket to Baldev Thakur in Baipol, however he lost to Bhawani Pathania of INC by 5800 votes. Kirpal Singh is contesting as an independent in this election. From this seat, Kirpal Singh Parmar is behind by about 7000 thousand votes from both BJP and Congress.
Hiteshwar Singh, Seat-Banjar
Hiteshwar Singh is the son of Maheshwar Singh, who comes from the Royal Family in Kullu. Maheshwar has won the assembly seat through the Himachal Lokhit Party. Himachal Lokhit Party later merged with BJP. Now, Hiteshwar Singh said that he will contest from Banjar seat as an independent. Due to this, the party has also cut the ticket of his father Maheshwar Singh. Hiteshwar Singh’s family has been in politics for a long time. It has to be seen what wonder Hiteshwar shows in this election. Hiteshwar Singh is running second on this seat as an independent candidate.
Dayal Pyari and Gangu Ram Musafir, seat-back
Pachhad is an assembly seat in Himachal’s Sirmaur. This seat is reserved for SC. Dayal Pyari is a rebel leader of BJP. This time he is in the election on Congress ticket. He is up against BJP’s current MLA Reena Kashyap this time. In the 2019 Bai election, Dayal Pyari was a ticket contender from BJP but she did not get the ticket. Gangu Ram Musafir, a 7-time rebel MLA from the Congress, is also contesting on this seat. Currently BJP’s Reena is leading from this seat and Dayal Pyari is running second from this seat.
K L Thakur, seat-Nalagarh
Thakur came to BJP after taking voluntary retirement from the Irrigation and Public Health Department. He contested and won the election in 2012 on a BJP ticket. But this time he is in the fray as an independent because of not getting the ticket. In his every rally, he asks the people – what is my fault? KL Thakur is leading on this seat.
