How many people have been deported from India so far
According to the latest annual report of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), a total of 1298 foreigners have been deported to their country from 1/04/2022 to 31/10/2022. Whereas, according to the 2021 report of MHA, a total of 821 foreigners were sent back to their country in the year 2021.
Among these, the highest number was of 339 citizens of Nigeria. Whereas, Bangladesh had 246 citizens in second place. At the same time, Afghanistan was at number three. 105 citizens of this place were deported in 2021.
Talking about 2022, in 2022 also, the maximum number of citizens deported were from Nigeria. Their number was 645. While Uganda was at number two. 178 citizens of this place were deported. At the same time, Bangladesh was at number three. 163 citizens of this place were deported in the year 2022. When is a foreign national deported
A foreign national is deported from India for many reasons. However, in general, there are more such cases in which the visa of a foreign national expires and he is still living illegally in India. Such people are deported by Foreigners Regional Registration Officers i.e. FRRO.
Apart from this, if a foreign national comes to India and commits a serious crime here, then he is also deported to his country after legal action. On the other hand, if a foreign national tries to enter India through a fake passport or tries to enter the border of India illegally, then he is also deported to his country after legal action.
