Hindu refugees from Pakistan living in Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar have received citizenship papers through CAA. During this time, happiness was visible on their faces. Pakistani refugees living in Majnu Ka Tila will also get citizenship through CAA.
Hindu refugee sentiments from Pakistan have got citizenship through CAA. He said, ‘There were a lot of difficulties in Pakistan. Girls could not study there or go out of their homes. Muslims kidnap Hindu girls and forcibly convert them to Islam. Girls are so scared that they don’t go out.
Bhavna said, ‘I was very young when I was there. I don’t remember anything else except our house, because we rarely left the house. Many of our family members are still there, who want to come to India. They are facing visa related problems. We are very happy to be in our country. PM Narendra Modi has helped us a lot, we thank PM Modi and Amit Shah. I want to become a teacher and educate women.
Another refugee from Pakistan, who got citizenship through CAA, said, ‘When we came here 10 years ago, we did not have citizenship. We are very happy to get citizenship. We faced difficulties in admitting our children in schools. Now our children will get proper education and our future will be bright.
