What are the things needed to make Asafoetida Dal Tadka?
Arhar Dal – 2 cups
Turmeric – 1 tsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Cumin – 1 tsp
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Whole red chili – 1
Ghee or butter – 2 tbsp
salt – as per taste

Easy way to make Hing Dal Tadka
To make Asafoetida Dal Tadka, first wash the Arhar Dal and soak it for some time. After this put this dal in the cooker. Then add water as per need and then mix turmeric and salt in it and keep it for cooking. When it melts, turn off the gas and take it down. Then put one spoon of ghee in a pan and let it heat up. Add asafoetida-cumin seeds, whole red chillies and fry them.

After this, put boiled lentils in this pan and cook it on a low flame for some time. When it gets cooked, take it off the gas. After this, put ghee in a pan, when it becomes hot, add cumin seeds to it. Then add tempering of asafoetida in addition to whole red chillies. Then put this tempering in the dal and stir the dal with a spoon. Now garnish it with finely chopped green coriander. Your dhaba style tadka dal is ready.
