The hoardings being taken down from the streets, localities, squares and intersections of the city are being deposited in the Municipal Corporation office. Officials will have to follow these rules

  • There will be no transfer or appointment of any officer or employee.
  • If transfer is absolutely necessary then prior approval will have to be taken from the Election Commission.
  • Officials associated with election work are prohibited from meeting any leader or minister at his personal visit or residence.
  • No new government work will start. Tenders will not be issued for any new work.

Responsibility handed over to nodal officers

Under the chairmanship of District Election Officer Visakh ji, a meeting was held with the nodal officers regarding the preparations for the elections in the Collectorate auditorium. DM said that the notification has been issued, the responsibilities given should be completed in time. He said that no nodal officer will leave the district headquarters without permission. The District Magistrate discussed with the concerned nodal officers regarding election training, election stationery, exchange of forms, publications, magistrate appointment, traffic arrangements, model code of conduct, barricading, videography etc.
