Asaduddin Owaisi and Rahul Gandhi targeted
While justifying the implementation of CAA, the Union Home Minister accused All India Majlis-e-Ittehad ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and party leader Rahul Gandhi of lying that due to the implementation of CAA, there will be trouble in the country. Citizenship of minorities will be taken away.
He accused the opposition parties of doing vote bank politics. At the same time, the Union Home Ministry issued a statement saying that Indian Muslims have no need to worry as the CAA will not affect their citizenship and has nothing to do with the community, which enjoys equal rights as its Hindu counterparts. Addressing a gathering of BJP booth workers in Hyderabad, Amit Shah targeted people spreading ‘rumours’ about CAA and said that this law provides citizenship, not snatching it away. He said, “I want to tell the minorities of this country that no citizen of the country will lose their citizenship due to CAA. CAA is a law that grants citizenship, not takes away citizenship. I assure you that there is no provision in the CAA that takes away anyone’s citizenship.

He said that millions of people from Pakistan and Bangladesh came to India to save their faith and honor, but they were not given citizenship. The Home Minister said, “He felt humiliated in his own country by not getting citizenship.” Shah said that Prime Minister Modi has honored Hindu, Buddhist, Jain and Sikh refugees by giving them citizenship through CAA.
