An unruly truck crushed a bike rider on the Vikramshila bridge in Bhagalpur. The sister, who was returning from Navgachia to Bhagalpur to appear for the examination along with her brother, also died on the spot in the accident. The girl has been identified as Madhu Kumari, 22-year-old daughter of Akhilesh Pandit of Rangra police station area, while the youth has been identified as Brajesh Kumar, a resident of Sadhua of the same police station area. Soon after the incident, both sides of the Vikramshila bridge got jammed. The incident took place at around 11 am and till 12.15 pm, there is a jam on the entire road from Zero Mile to Navagachia.
Due to the jam, there was difficulty in reaching the relatives
Due to the girl having the address paper of Navgachia, immediately the police first informed her at her house. Information was received from the admit card found with the girl that she was returning after giving SSC exam in Barari Industrial Area in Bhagalpur. An attempt was made to convey the news to the family members of Madhu Kumari through the Aadhaar card received from her for information. Only then it became clear that she was returning after giving exams with her cousin. There is chaos in both the houses. Relatives have also been able to reach somehow due to the jam. The dead body has been sent for postmortem at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital, Mayaganj.
