At that time he and his wife were between 20 and 30 years old, but when the couple had two daughters, she quit her job with the support of her husband. Since then, for 25 years, she stayed at home and took care of the house and the girls and never employed any maid. During this, the family kept on shifting to different places as per the convenience of the husband. Despite this, when her daughter turned 16, her husband refused to even pay her fees. In such a situation, this matter reached the court for divorce.
Wife asked for compensation for domestic work
This matter is of the year 2020. When the couple signed a separation of property, most of the valuables went to the husband, while the wife got half of the house that they both owned. Neither did he get the land, nor the car or any other house. In such a situation, through a lawyer, the woman also asked for compensation for working at home for 25 years. After the trial went on for 2 years, the judge finally gave the verdict in favor of the woman and asked the husband to give her more than Rs 1 crore 76 lakh 86 thousand. Not only this, it also decided to give Rs 86,759 per month for daughters and Rs 43,378 for women.
