Test Tube Baby: IVF or In Vitro Fertilization, also known as Test Tube Baby in common language, is a modern technique. With the help of this technique, fertilization of male’s sperm and female’s eggs is done in the lab. Then the embryo formed in it is implanted in the woman’s uterus.
The process of natural fertilization of eggs is done in the fallopian tube of the woman’s uterus. Sometimes fertilization does not happen naturally. Therefore, one has to resort to IVF. There are three stages of IVF.
How IVF is done
first round
The growth of eggs in a woman’s ovaries is increased. Naturally, there are many developed eggs in a woman’s ovaries. They are called oocytes. Every month an egg develops and is released. For IVF, more eggs are developed and matured at one time by giving injections and medicines. After this, the eggs are removed from the woman’s body.
Second stage
In this stage, the man’s sperm and the woman’s egg are fertilized inside a test tube.
third step
In the third stage, embryo transfer takes place. The embryo that is formed after fertilization is placed in the woman’s uterus on the fourth or fifth day.
