CERT-In Alert: The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), the cybersecurity wing of the Government of India, has issued a ‘high’ severity alert about vulnerabilities affecting smartphones powered by Google’s Android mobile operating system. According to the details shared by the Cyber Security Wing of the Government of India, there are shortcomings i.e. bugs in the OS of Android devices due to problems with different hardware components. These include Framework, System, MediaTek Components, Widevine, Qualcomm Components and Qualcomm Closed Source Components.
