Last year’s Kharif season was not good for the farmers. Floods, rain and drought caused huge losses to the farmers. Crops worth crores of rupees of the farmers were destroyed. But this is not the case with the farmers only this year. Every year the crops of the farmers are destroyed due to some disaster or the other. Farmers take loans from the state and central government to compensate. But many times it is insufficient. Now the UP state government has taken steps to help the financially weak farmers.
So many crores have been waived off so far
UP Kisan Karj Mafi Yojana is an important step taken by the Uttar Pradesh government. The aim of the government is to get the farmers rid of debt. This scheme is for those farmers who were stuck in debt difficulties due to the loss of their crops. Under this scheme, the government has so far waived the debt of 13 lakh farmers amounting to Rs 22 thousand crore.

To participate in the scheme, farmers will have to fulfill some conditions. Farmers who do not have a four-wheeler, tractor or motor car. Apart from this, the age of the farmer should be more than 21 years and he should be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.

Farmers can apply online to avail the loan waiver scheme. For this, first of all you have to visit the official website of the Agriculture Department, Upagriculture.com. After this, you will be asked to click on the option of 2024 loan waiver scheme. After clicking, you will be asked to click on new registration. After this, you will give the information asked on the portal present there. You will have to provide necessary information like name, bank account information and loan details there.
