On the eve of Republic Day i.e. 26 January, the Central Government has announced the Padma Awards. Like every time, Modi government has chosen unsung heroes for this honour. Names of these people in the list
Those whose names have been announced for Padma awards include Parbati Barua, Jageshwar Yadav, Chami Murmu, Gurvinder Singh, Satyanarayan Belleri, Dukhu Manjhi, K Chelammal, Sangathan Keema, Hemchand Manjhi, Yanung Jamoh Lego, Somana, Sarbeshwar Basumatary, Prema Dhanraj is included. Apart from these, Uday Vishwanath Deshpande, Yazdi Maneksha Italia, Shanti Devi Paswan, Shivam Paswan, Ratan Kahar, Ashok Kumar Biswas, Balakrishnam Sadanam Puthiya will also be honored.
Who are given this honor?
Let us tell you that Padma awards are given in three categories, which are called Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan. These honors are announced every year Republic Day It is done only on the eve of. Actually, the nomination process for Padma Award is open to all people, in which they can make their own nominations. However, the personalities are announced by the Padma Award Committee selected by the Prime Minister. Padma Awards were started during the year 1954. However, these awards were not announced during the years 1978, 1979 and 1993 to 1997.
What is the difference between the three awards?
Talking about Padma awards, Padma Vibhushan is given for ordinary and special service. At the same time, Padma Bhushan and Padmashree awards are given for distinguished service of high order. There is no discrimination for these awards on the basis of caste, occupation, position or gender etc. However, other than doctors and scientists, government employees working with PSUs are not honored with these awards. Apart from this, these awards are not given even posthumously. However, in special cases, the government may consider giving the award posthumously. Let us tell you that Padma Vibhushan is the second highest civilian award in the country. Before this comes Bharat Ratna. At the same time, Padma Bhushan is the third highest civilian award in the country.
