How does everything become visible after being in darkness for a long time, is there any science behind this?

Some things in science are like this. Which keeps happening in our daily life. But we pay attention to them. But whenever we think carefully about those things, then we understand that those things are not normal. There is a science hidden behind them. If you have ever come into a room with lots of light, it appears dark to you. After some time your view becomes normal. Let us know the science behind it.

Why is nothing visible after the light comes in?

In the winter season, people often go to the terrace to sunbathe. But when we return to our room after sunbathing. So for some time you start seeing complete darkness. But after a few moments everything becomes normal. Even normally, you come into the room suddenly due to strong sunlight. So you can see very little. Actually this happens because.

Because when you are in bright sunlight. Then the pupil of the eye becomes smaller. But as soon as you enter a dimly lit room. So due to the smaller pupil you start seeing even less there. But after a few moments your pupil becomes normal again. Then you start looking normal

This is the scientific reason

The curtain behind the eyes is called retina. Due to which the eyes are able to see. There are two cells in the retina. One is cone shaped and the other is rod shaped. Cone shaped cells work in more light. So there are less rod shaped cells in the dark. So when you go from a lot of light to a lot of darkness. Then  Cone shaped cells are working. That’s why there is difficulty in seeing. After some time when rod shaped cells become active. Then you start looking normal.
