Initially, this feature was launched only for some selected premium devices. But now a report has revealed that the Circle To Search feature has become available for desktop users as well. After this, desktop users will be able to use this feature on ChromeOS and Chrome browser.

The feature is available on these channels

According to a report by Gizmochina, the Circle To Search feature is currently limited to ChromeOS 127 beta and Chrome 128 beta. But its regular version is also expected to come soon. Apart from this, this feature is labeled as ‘Search With Google Lens’ in Windows and Mac OS. On the other hand, it is labeled as ‘Drag to Search’ on ChromeOS.

How to use the feature

In the chrome 128 beta channel, users will have to select ‘Search With Google Lens’ from the overflow menu, after which they will be able to use this feature. Apart from this, the option can also be pinned to the side panel. On the other hand, if we talk about ChromeOS, then users can use this feature by going to the address bar.

In a note released by the company, it is said that the user can search for any image on the slide or webpage in the livestream while watching the video. Google Lens will answer it on the same tab.

It is expected that in the coming time the company will make this feature available in the stable channel of Chrome for both MacOS and Windows. After this all users will be able to use this feature.
