Know how Mathura Peda is made
For this, we reached Vrindavan Bankhandi Mahadev Temple near Ram Sweets shop, which has been making sweets and sweets for almost 100 years. The owner of the shop, Rohit Agarwal, told that first of all fresh milk is taken from nearby villages to make peda. After checking the quality of which milk is boiled and Mawa is prepared from milk. The prepared mava is then roasted on a low flame for about half an hour in a large pan and then light sugar is added to it and it is roasted until the white mava turns red. After it turns red, it is kept in a large plate for about 2 hours to cool down. After cooling down, bad (sugar powder) and cardamom powder is added to the prepared mawa. After which it is shaped by hands.
How to make Mathura peda at home
If you want to make Peda at home, then you have to take special care of the quantity. To make Peda at home, first boil 4 liters of milk properly and prepare its mawa. About one kilo of Mawa is prepared from 4 liters of milk. Along with this, 300 grams of sugar is used in one kilo of mawa. After the mawa is prepared, fry the mawa well for half an hour and first put 150 grams of sugar in it and fry till the mawa turns red. Then keep the roasted mawa to cool down. After it cools down, make powder of remaining 150 sugar and put it in it. Also add cardamom powder as per taste and mix it well with the help of hands and after that your peda batter is ready and now you can make small laddoos out of it with your hands and the peda is ready at home.
