How much will the internet speed increase in 6G as compared to 4G and 5G… When will it be launched in India?

When will 6G launch?

PM Narendra Modi had said that by the end of this decade 6G service will be launched in India. It is estimated that 6G will be launched between 2028 and 2030. In August last year, PM Modi had said, "The government has started preparing for the 6G launch, which will be launched by the end of this decade." Along with this, the PM had asked the youth and innovators to take advantage of this opportunity and requested them to find new solutions.

How much will be the speed of 6G?

  • The speed of 5G, launched at the end of last year, is about 10 times faster than its first generation i.e. 4G.
  • 6G is said to be faster than 5G. The speed will be about 100 times faster.
  • Accordingly, if 6G is compared to 4G then the speed of 6G will be 1000 times faster than 4G.
According to University of Sydney’s wireless communication expert, Mahyar Shirvanimoghaddam, speeds of up to 1TB per second can be achieved with 6GB. With this speed, you can download 142 hours of Netflix high quality video per second. When 6G technology will be launched in India, many new applications and services will also emerge. This will give a lot of convenience to the people. People’s lifestyle can also change completely.
