Cancer Drug: Recently, the Crime Branch in Delhi has arrested many people while seizing a huge consignment of fake cancer chemotherapy drugs. These people were playing with the lives of cancer patients and drug sellers in hospitals by giving them fake medicines. If we look at it, cancer is still a fatal disease and due to fake medicines, there may be more problems in its treatment. In such a situation, it is important that whether it is cancer medicine or any other medicine, before buying it, it should be checked whether the medicine is fake or not. Let us today talk about some such points through which it can be identified whether the medicine is real or fake.

How to identify real and fake medicine

  • If seen, accurate testing of genuine and fake medicines is possible only in the lab, but there are some special methods by following which you can identify genuine and fake medicines. The first method in this is to check the QR code. Let us tell you that every medicine costing more than Rs 100 has a QR code printed on it. If the price of your medicine is more than Rs 100 then definitely check the QR code. If there is no QR code on the medicine then do not buy the medicine and definitely inform the administration about it.
  • Generally the names of English medicines are quite difficult. These are illegible and hence often fake medicines with names similar to these come into the market. Check the correct name of the medicine you need on the internet or ask the doctor. After this, compare it with the name and packaging of the medicine you are buying. If the medicine is not sealed pack, its packaging is different or the size is different then do not buy the medicine.
  • If the pills in any medicine are in a strange condition, look brittle, break when touched and have a bubble-like coating on them, then do not buy the medicine. Even if a lot of shining is visible on the medicine, the medicine may be fake. It is wise not to buy such medicines. Before buying the medicine, pay attention to its expiry date. Many times the expiry date becomes very blurred due to which it is not possible to identify genuine and fake medicines.
