Ingredients for Garam Masala
Cumin – 1/2 cup
Coriander seeds – 3/4 cup
Cinnamon – 3 inch piece
Mace – 2
Black cardamom – 4-5
Black pepper – 2 tbsp
Nutmeg – 2
Dry red chili – 3-4
Green cardamom – 3 tsp
Fennel seeds – 2 tsp
Ginger powder – 1 tsp
Bay leaves – 4-5
Cloves – 1 tbsp
Shah jeera – 1 tsp
star anise – 4-5

Garam Masala Recipe
If you want to prepare garam masala at home, first put coriander seeds in a pan and roast it on low flame. When the aroma starts coming from coriander, take it out in a vessel. After this add cumin and shah jeera in the pan and fry both of them. During this, keep the gas flame slow. When cumin starts giving aroma, then take it out in a vessel. Now take black pepper and red chili and fry them till they become crisp and then keep them aside.

Now put nutmeg, fennel, cloves, green cardamom, black cardamom in the pan and fry them until the wet smell starts coming from the spices. After this, take out all these spices in a vessel and keep them to cool down. When the spices cool down, take a mixer jar and put all the roasted spices in it. After this, grind all the spices finely by applying the lid of the jar. Now take out the powder of spices in a vessel and add ginger powder to it and mix it well. Garam masala full of taste and purity is ready. Store it in an airtight container.
