Ingredients to make Moonglets
Moong Dal – 2 cups
Tomato – 1-2
Beetroot – 1/2
Carrot – 1
Capsicum – 1
Green chili – 1-2
Onion – 1
Ginger chopped – 1 tsp
Green coriander chopped – 1/4 cup
Baking soda – 1 tsp
Chaat masala – 1 tsp
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Oil – 4 tbsp
salt – as per taste

How to make Moonglet
To make nutritious moonglets, first take moong dal and clean and wash it thoroughly. Now soak the lentils in water for 2 hours. Meanwhile, cut beetroot, tomato, and other vegetables and put them in a mixing bowl. After the fixed time, take the soaked moong dal and grind it coarsely with the help of a mixer jar. While grinding lentils, add ginger pieces and some water to it. Make a thick paste by grinding the lentils and then take them out in a bowl.

When the paste is prepared by grinding the moong dal, then add turmeric, baking soda to this batter and mix it well while almost whipping it. Now heat a nonstick pan/tawa. When the griddle becomes hot, put some oil on it and spread it. Now take moong batter in a bowl and pour it in the center of the griddle and spread it in a circular motion. Keep the base of moonglet slightly thick.

After roasting for some time, add chopped vegetables one by one over the moonglets and then sprinkle chaat masala and salt. While roasting, press the vegetables with the back of a ladle or a big spoon on the moonglets so that they stick well to the batter. After roasting the moonglets for 2 to 3 minutes, turn them over and roast them again by applying oil on the other side. When the moonglets turn golden from both the sides, take them off in a plate. Similarly prepare all the moonglets and serve with tomato sauce or green chutney.
