The marriage was solemnized as per Hindu rituals with a resident of Vibhav Nagar Colony, Navipur. Shortly after marriage, Poonam’s husband Chetak started mentally torturing his daughter. For this reason his daughter used to come and go to her maternal home. The daughter told them that she was being treated inhumanely. Attempts have been made to kill him several times.

He said that his daughter was murdered and her body was hanged after making well-planned preparations. The in-laws have committed this heinous crime after thinking it over. He informed the boy’s father and mother about this incident through SMS, but they did not respond till the FIR was registered.

In this case, a case was registered against Chetak, Hotilal, Lakshmi Devi, Sunny, Malikhan Singh and Shriram Bharti.
