Ayesha, who became popular with the TV serial Gum Hain Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein, had once planned to leave Mumbai.
Ayesha, who has a law degree in Criminal and Civil Justice, struggled a lot in Mumbai and then got a serial. Ayesha had told in a conversation with ETimes TV that she used to try acting since her school days. We used to act with our friends like Sunny Deol’s famous scenes like Dhai Kilo Ka Haath, Chadha Saheb.
How was the struggle in Mumbai?
Talking about her early days, Ayesha says, ‘I was lucky in the beginning that I got some commercials. But I had to wait a long time for what I wanted to do. When you are new, you do not know where auditions are taking place and where to go. A lot of time is wasted during this period. It is not that you go to any studio or production house and you get work immediately. But I got the first show Dilli Armaano Ki and soon after that I got the second show.

‘But before meeting Ghum Hai, I was quite irritated. There came a time when I wanted to leave acting and go back. I had decided that I would come back to Agra and take up a bank job there. Before coming to Agra, I had given an audition for Gum, the day after I reached Agra I got a call for the show. If that had not happened, I had thought of doing something else.
When it was said – wear a lot of make up
Talking about her rejection to Siddharth Kanan, Ayesha said, ‘That was my first rejection. I went to a very big production house. Looking at me he said, ‘You are not pretty and wear a lot of make-up, son. then we’ll talk’. This was the first time and I felt very bad.
