Instead of issuing police challan to the drivers who drive on the wrong side from Sindhi Basti towards Collector Marg, I will not make such mistake again. Such apology notes are being written 100 times. So that people realize this mistake and keep this in mind while committing the mistake again. Therefore, the traffic police in the district has made this innovation.
Varun Patil, who was driving on the wrong side, told Local 18 that he was going with his wife to his acquaintance’s place in Indira Colony area. I forgot that I was taking the vehicle on the wrong side. When the police stopped me and explained to me, I also felt that I had made a mistake. I wrote an apology letter 100 times that I would not make such a mistake again. I pledge that I will give this information to 20 people in my family. They will explain that if you too are driving on the road, then you should not drive on the wrong side. So that he too can escape this punishment.
30 people wrote apology letters in four days
The traffic police has started this unique punishment from April 2. Till April 5, 30 people drove on the wrong side and told the traffic police that they will not make such a mistake again.
