IAS officer Anshuman Raj was born in Buxar district of Bihar state. He studied till class 10th from the village school itself. But he had to go to Ranchi for class 12th studies. Anshuman wanted to become an officer by getting success in UPSC exam from the beginning. Which he has also completed. Anshuman did self-study to become an IAS. He had achieved success in the UPSC exam in the first attempt itself. But he got the post of IRS according to his rank.

But Anshuman continued preparing for UPSC exam even after becoming IRS and he got success in the fourth attempt. He cracked the UPSC exam in the year 2019 and secured All India 107 rank. Anshuman advises the candidates preparing for UPSC exam that UPSC preparation can be done by staying in the village. Therefore, the candidate must have an internet connection. Along with this, the candidate needs to have the right strategy and continuous efforts during the preparation. Success can be achieved in UPSC exam even through limited resources.
