IAS Success Story: To be successful in UPSC exam, the candidate has to prepare under the right strategy. Today we are going to tell you the story of such an IAS officer, who cleared the UPSC exam in the first attempt on the basis of better strategy. IAS Surabhi Gautam had cracked the tough UPSC exam in her own efforts and today she is a role model for UPSC aspirants.
Surbhi Gautam, who belongs to a small village in Madhya Pradesh, was smart in studies since childhood. She often topped in school. In the 10th and 12th class board exams, Surabhi prepared for the exams with limited resources and scored more than 90 percent. IAS Surabhi’s father is a lawyer in civil court and her mother is a teacher. After completing his schooling, he took the state engineering entrance exam and got success in it. After which she moved from the village to the city. Where he was made fun of for not being able to speak fluent English. But he did not give up and gave a befitting reply to the critics with his success. Surbhi completed her engineering studies in Electronics and Communication from Bhopal. He topped the university and won gold medal.
Cleared the exam in the first attempt
After completing her engineering studies, Surbhi worked as a Nuclear Scientist in BARC for one year. Surbhi had cleared exams like GATE, ISRO, SAIL, MPPSC PCS to SSC CGL, Delhi Police and FCI. After all this, she gave the UPSC exam in the year 2016 and became an IAS officer by getting 50th rank in her first attempt.
