IAS Tapasya Parihar was born on 22 November 1992 in a village in Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh. Tapasya completed her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya and then studied law from Indian Law Society’s Law College, Pune. After completing law studies, Tapasya decided to give UPSC exam and started preparing. Tapasya had got failure in the first attempt. After which he worked hard and got success in UPSC exam with special focus on self study. Tapasya Parihar’s father, a resident of Narsinghpur in Madhya Pradesh (MP), is a farmer.

IAS Tapasya’s father Vishwas Parihar is a farmer. At the same time, his uncle Vinayak Parihar is a social worker. When Tapasya talked about preparing for the UPSC exam at home, she got full support from the family. When Tapasya Parihar started studying for the second attempt, she made as many notes as possible and solved the model paper. After failing in the first attempt, Tapasya changed her strategy, which also benefited her. In the end, Tapasya’s hard work paid off and he secured All India 23rd rank in the Civil Services Examination 2017. IAS Tapasya Parihar was married to IFS Garvit Gangwar.
