IDFC Bags Title Rights For India’s Home Internationals For Rupees 4.2 Crore Per International Game


IDFC bags title rights for India’s home international matches: There is going to be a huge increase in the income of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Private sector bank IDFC has acquired the rights of Indian team’s domestic international matches. For this, now BCCI will get Rs 4.2 crore from IDFC for each international match. Earlier, when the title rights were with Mastercard last time, the BCCI was getting Rs 3.8 crore for each match at that time. Now an increase of Rs 40 lakh has been seen in it.

To get the title rights, the BCCI had fixed a base price of Rs 2.4 crore for the auction. IDFC has now secured the title rights for the next 3 years, starting with the 3-match ODI series against Australia starting next month. This contract has been done for 56 matches till the month of August 2026. BCCI is expected to earn around Rs 1000 crore from this.

Apart from IDFC, sports broadcaster company Sony Sports also participated to get the title rights of domestic matches. Apart from this, no other company participated in the auction. Now everyone’s eyes are on which company gets the rights of broadcasting the home matches of the Indian team.

Indian team’s busy schedule after the World Cup

After playing the home ODI series against Australia, the Indian team ODI World Cup to take part in. At the same time, after its end, Team India will play T20 series against Australia and then year 2023 In this, the team has to play a 5-match Test series against England at home. Apart from this, IDFC will also be the title sponsor of the domestic tournament of Indian cricket.
