First go to Grievance Redressal Officer

If the insurance company is not giving you the insurance claim despite your repeated requests. Then you can go to the grievance redressal officer of the insurance company and lodge a complaint. For this, if you want, you can go to the nearest branch and lodge a complaint. Otherwise, you can lodge your complaint online through mail while sitting at home. In most of the cases it has been seen that such complaints are resolved at the company level itself.

Complain to IRDA

If you have not received the claim even after going to the Grievance Redressal Officer. Then you can also file a complaint in IRDA. Generally, action is taken on your complaint within 15 days of complaining to the insurance company. But if this does not happen, then after this you can file a complaint with IRDA. For that, you can register your complaint by visiting the official website of IRDA, complaints@irdai.gov.in. Or you can also register your complaint by calling the helpline number.

Finally Insurance Ombudsman

If your problem is not solved even by IRDA. Then after this you can go to the Insurance Ombudsman. There are Insurance Ombudsman at total 17 places in the country. By going there you can lodge a complaint with the insurance company. To file a complaint, you have to go to the office of the Insurance Ombudsman and fill Form P-II and Form P-III. If you want, you can also file the complaint online. But for this you will have to send all the documents through hard copy to the Insurance Ombudsman.
