Suicide Note Action Process: After the suicide of 34-year-old engineer Atul Subhash from Bengaluru, everyone on social media has started demanding justice for him. Atul Subhash, fed up with the harassment from his wife and his in-laws, committed suicide. Before committing suicide, Atul Subhash left a video of about one and a half hour. Along with this, he also left a 24-page suicide note.
Atul had openly expressed his pain in the video and suicide note. On the basis of this, Atul’s brother filed a case against Atul’s wife and in-laws for abetment to suicide in Bengaluru Police. Case is registered under these sections
In the case of suicide of Atul Subhash, Bengaluru Police has registered a case under section 108 (abetment of suicide) and 3(5) of the Indian Judicial Code BS. If someone writes someone’s name in a suicide note and goes away. So a case can be registered against him also under this section.
If a case is registered under these sections and the charges against that person are proved. So he may have to face jail up to 10 years and fine. In such a case, the police can arrest anyone without a warrant. And the arrest made in this case is non-bailable.
