Refund will be given through TDR
If your train has been canceled due to fog, then you do not need to do anything separately to get its refund. As per the rules set by Indian Railways, if the train has been canceled, it means that you are sure to get the refund. But you will have to file TDR for this. Only after this the refund money will come to your account.
How to file TDR?
Indian Railways has made the refund claim process for booked tickets quite easy. For this you have to file TDR. TDR means Ticket Deposit Receipt through which refund is claimed. For this, you will have to go to the IRCTC website and login with your ID along with your credentials.
After this you will have to go to my account section. Then you have to click on My Transaction. After this you will see the option to file TDR. Your refund claim process will be completed by submitting the relevant train and ticket information. Refund will be issued to you within a week.
