Lost and Found: Every day lakhs of people travel in Delhi Metro. Sometimes in a hurry people forget their belongings in the metro or station or they leave them behind. Due to not knowing the right way, people are not able to get their valuables back. If something like this happens to you, we are going to give you information about what you should do.
Offline method
Actually you can find your lost luggage both offline and online. Both these methods will increase the chances of finding the luggage. So let’s know what you should do first when your luggage is lost.
If you lose any of your belongings in a metro or station, you should go to the nearest metro station within 48 hours. You can contact the customer care center here. Your complaint will be heard here and every possible effort will be made to find the lost item. Apart from this, you can also talk to the Lost and Found office.
Online method
If you are unable to find your lost item offline, you can search for it online. For this, you will have to go to Chrome and open the DMRC portal. After that click on the Lost and Found option.
There you will find the List of Lost and Found option. By clicking on it you will get the entire list, you can search for lost items by name. The list will show everything from the station name to the receiving date and time.
If you find your item in the list, then to claim it you will have to contact the Lost and Found department. For this you will have to submit your original ID proof and a photo copy.
Apart from this, if no one comes to claim the lost item for a month, then DMRC can take a decision. It can also send those products for further auction.
