IMD Weather Forecast big Update for Monsoon Cover Delhi UP Bihar Jharkhand Odisha MP North West India by 3 July


Weather Update: Many states of North India got relief from the scorching heat on Friday (22 June). The weather has become quite pleasant due to drizzle and strong winds in many states. Till now it was difficult for people to live due to the scorching heat. Now there is a lot of relief due to the change in the weather. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert for the next 4-5 days. According to IMD, there is a possibility of extremely heavy rain in Kerala, Karnataka, Konkan-Goa and Madhya Maharashtra during the next 4-5 days.

According to the IMD forecast, the monsoon is expected to become active in northwest India between June 27 and July 3 and reach most parts of the region. According to the IMD, scattered to heavy rainfall is expected over Uttarakhand and eastern Uttar Pradesh during the next seven days. Maximum temperatures are likely to fluctuate in Uttar Pradesh during June 24-26.

Monsoon will knock in these states

The IMD said on Saturday that conditions are favorable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some parts of North Arabian Sea, Gujarat, remaining parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh during the next 3-4 days. The normal date of arrival of monsoon in Delhi is June 27. Many parts of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Bihar and West Bengal have been reeling under intense heat since the beginning of June.

Heavy rain alert in Bihar and Odisha

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rains with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds are likely over Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next 5 days. Heavy rains are expected in Bihar during June 24-26, in Odisha on June 22 and 26, in Jharkhand on June 25 and 26 and in Andaman and Nicobar Islands during June 22-26.

Clouds will thunder in North-East

The Meteorological Department said that heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya during the next five days. Very heavy rain is expected over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on 25 and 26 June and heavy rainfall may occur at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh on 25 and 26 June. Apart from this, heavy rain is expected at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during 22-24 June.

How will the weather be in South India?

At the same time, IMD has predicted light to moderate rains in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during the next five days. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Konkan and Goa, Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala and Mahe, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu during 22-26th. Lakshadweep on 22 and 23 June, Gujarat during 22-24, Saurashtra and Kutch on 23 and 24 June and Marathwada on 22 and 23 June and coastal Andhra Pradesh on 26th.
