‘In 1999 I was thrown out of the country and now…’, what did Taslima Nasreen say on Sheikh Hasina’s escape from Bangladesh?

Bangladesh News: Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen on Monday (August 5) said that she was forced to leave the country by the same fundamentalists whom Sheikh Hasina had expelled her from the country to please.

“To please the Islamists, Hasina kicked me out of my country in 1999 when I entered Bangladesh to see my mother on her deathbed and never allowed me to enter the country again. The same Islamists who were involved in the student movement forced Hasina to leave the country today,” Taslima Nasreen said on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

‘Bangladesh should not become another Pakistan’

Earlier, he also said, “Sheikh Hasina was forced to resign and leave the country. She is responsible for her current situation. She allowed Islamists to grow. She allowed herself to be involved in corruption. Meanwhile, Bangladesh should not become another Pakistan. Military rule should not be imposed. Political parties should restore democracy in the country and adopt secularism.”

Sheikh Hasina left Bangladesh and reached India

Sheikh Hasina, who resigned from the post of Prime Minister after the violent protests (Bangladesh Protest) over the controversial reservation issue in Bangladesh, has come to India. Military rule has now been imposed in Bangladesh. In view of the rebellion, strict vigilance is being maintained on the Indian border.
